Helplessness–“My boss won’t let me.”

Contempt–“They don’t pay me enough to put up with the likes of these customers.”

Fear–“It’s good enough, it’s not worth the risk, people will talk, this might not work…”

This guy is one of my favourite heretics — and the revolutionary author of a free work on the education system that is simply unmatched.

But, the above — shockingly true. Honestly, the more money that flows into Calgary, the more businesses there are that seem to have posted those four points in the staff room — and in the manager’s lounge about their own employees.

Why take care of people? There are always more customers/employees and no one is watching anyway…

But, a very wise man once made a statement that reads something to the effect of, “Integrity is what you do to others when no one is looking.” (I’d add, “Or when you can get away with it anyway…”)
